While I'm still having issues digesting this logo (pun intended), the lotion is good.
Smells like dried cranberries, absorbs quickly but the moisturizing effects last.
Gives me a nice, albeit brief, glow.
For $9.99, a good deal., and not animal tested.
Well done, Bethenny Frankel

Burt's Bees Cocoa & Cupuacu Butters Body Lotion
This lotion is well labeled: Richly Replenishing!Smells like vanilla, honey, and the beach.
Does not feel greasy, just makes your skin go "Ah."
I use mostly as a hand lotion at work, people always ask what smells so good :)
Skin is soft, I smell good, all is right with the world.
Thank you, Burt!

Votre Vu~Tres Magnifeet
Ooh La La is an understatement!! This two step process to soft, beautiful feet is not only an amazing stand-in on a lonely date night, but would make a fantastic gift to any female friend, family member, or coworker! With the warm summer months now slowly fading away, Tresmagnifeet is the perfect purchase to make now, and have on-hand to give your hibernating tootsies a mid-winter pick-me-up!!Friday, August 19, 2011
L'Occitane Sun Verbena Protective Body Lotion SPF 15 (Verveine Soleil)
A great body lotion plus sun protection?!? Yes, please!Lightly scented--herbally lemon.
Moisturizes well, absorbs quickly, not greasy.
I now put this on everyday after my morning shower.
The only drawback I have: the bottle can be weak around the corners, so try to shake instead of squeeze. I am, apparently, a vigorous squeezer--had to put tape to cover split on corner of bottle.
Added incentive: L'Occitane, as a brand, ROCKS! They have braille on their products &/or packaging; so if you happen to be blind, you still know what you are using. The L'Occitane Foundation works to Support the Visually Impaired, Advance the Economic Emancipation of Women, and Preserve the Knowledge of Nature. How cool is that?!?!

Curél Itch Defense Lotion

My question for this lotion: Where have you been all my life?
Even helped my hives!
Leaves skin super soft, and the lack of red scrapes from scratching myself is amazing.
I love that it is fragrance-free!
Go & buy NOW!

C.O. Bigelow® Mentha is so cool. Literally.
Mentha Body Vitamin Body Lotion |
Mentha Body Vitamin Body Wash![]() This has been one hot summer. Even at night, it is too hot to sleep! My solution: I wash my feet with the body wash, then use the lotion. It is an intense, mint cool-off! The body wash is also great as a pick-me-up in the morning shower. I'll also be using them both when I get all stuffy-- should totally break up the congestion. |

Jess' Bee Natural: Happy Skin Lotion Bar

Lovely Lotion Bar!
Looks like soap & the man on the moon, then melts in your hands!
I used the unscented, which still smells nice (Sweet Almond Oil).
Feels great once you get the hang of the melting bit.
Great on the legs, especially overnight!
True Blue: Morocco-- Honey & Date Body Yoghurt

I was in love within the first hour after using this Body Yoghurt!
It smells like Baklava, is super thick & creamy, & makes my skin feel ridiculously soft.
My skin stays soft, as if the moisturizer has melted into my hands/arms/legs.
The jar is also cute as can be, simple & a little retro, so I can leave it lying around without being unsightly.
The big problem: I want to eat it!

Lotion: Lubriderm
Lubriderm Intense Skin Repair Body Lotion
Smells like baby wipes.
Good consistency.
It feels like my hands are sucking the lotion in & need more, but there is a residue/barrier left on the skin.
Works better on legs.
It's okay, but not great.

Jergens - Natural Glow
Jergens
Natural Glow & Natural Glow Express
I was excited to test these two products out for several reasons. Who doesn't love the thick, soothing feeling of Jergens? Firming & tanning lotion all in one? It sounded too good to be true. The Natural Glow Firming Daily Moisturizer works to improve skins elasticity and tint your skins color over the course of about a week. The Natural Glow Express gives color to your skin in just 3 days (without firming qualities). I tried both lotions over the course about 2 weeks. The Daily Moisturizer goes on thick with a subtle tanning-bed kind of smell. After 1 week, I may have had a little color, but nothing to write home about. The Express version smelled better and gave me a little more color, but not in 3 days. It was about 5 days before I could tell. As the directions said on both bottles, I waited for several minutes before dressing. Sometimes this is a little inconvenient when trying to get to work in the morning. I did end up with some brownish-orange marks on my camis. I also made the mistake of putting the Express on the tops of my feet. After 2 days, I had slightly orange feet. It went away after a couple of days. Luckily, I remembered to wash my hands after applying. The best part about this lotion is that your skin is smooth with a nice little shimmer to it. I actually like using it when I already am a little tan. My tan looks better and I sparkle.

EO Body Lotion
EO
Body Lotion
Jasmine
EO lotion is an all-natural product made from organic oils and herbs. If you have read my blog about the EO shampoo and conditioner, then you know that EO is earth-friendly and people-conscious. (If you haven't read that blog yet, you should!) The everyday body lotion is very thick (almost like a body butter), with a potent jasmine smell. A little lotion can go a long way. I put it on my shoulders that were peeling from being out in the sun, and was amazed at how it covered and soothed my skin. I personally like the strong jasmine smell. This lotion will be great to use during those harsh winter months when I feel like I have scales instead of skin. Thank you EO for making affordable, environmentally friendly products that work!

Mary Kay - Subtle Tanning Lotion
Mary Kay
Subtle Tanning Lotion
This self-tanning lotion is meant to give an even, non-streaky subtle color to your skin. If you read the directions, it tells you that maximum color should be reached in about a week. I used this product, according to the directions, for about 10 days straight. It definitely isn't greasy, goes on nicely like a moisturizer, and doesn't discolor your skin. No streaks, no orangy color. The only thing that I wasn't too keen on was the smell. It wasn't bad, it just reminded me of the smell of tanning salons. Apparently it wasn't strong though, because most people said they didn't notice it. I would have to say that I did get a little bit of color over 10 days, but I didn't feel like I was "tan." I think that is why it is labeled a subtle tanning lotion. Just enough to give you a little bit of a color and glow, but not meant for serious self-tanning.

Palmer's Lotions
From Eleasha:
Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion
I am a fan of Palmer's and this was no disappointment. It leaves my hands feeling soft for hours.
Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Body Gloss
I didn't notice much glimmer.

Jergens Natural Glow Express Body Moisturizer
Jergens Natural Glow Express Body Moisturizer promises quick, natural looking skin color. It comes in medium & medium/tan formulas. Well, I am pale-fair. Any sort of tan is not so natural on me, so the lotion really had it's work cut out for it. I used this on my shockingly white legs, which had not seen the light of day in about 6 months. I actually have non-white color now!
It works way better when you follow the instructions for self tanning (read May's Allure), and use it after showering/exfoliating. The 1st time I used it, I put it on legs that had lotion on them already, so it did not go on evenly (I have a brown spot near an ankle).
Nice color starts in about an hour, builds well. Not smelly or messy.

Lotion: Ciao Bella- Hand & Body Cream
Ciao Bella
Nourishing Hand & Body Cream
Cafe Latte
http://www.ciaobellabody.com/product.asp?PID=62
Scent: At first, I was deterred by the name. I don't like coffee. Not to drink, not to wear. But this grows on you. Cinnamon & other spices. Nice. Subtle.
Lotionosity: So, I made up that word, it's what I want to say. This is a nice, cool cream. It made my hands feel nice. My boss & I got addicted to it. It is now used up, and we are sad!
Luckily, the loverly people at Ciao Bella gave us a 15% off code to share: BELLA15. Now I'm going to order 2-- one for my boss so she doesn't use up mine;)
