Sam Villa SLEEKR Thermo Tool

Thermal Tool is fancy-speak for "gets hot."

The SLEEKR flat iron from Sam Villa is, in a word, AWESOME!!!

I love, love, love it!!!

Ceramic plates, light, comfortable, three heat levels. incredible smoothing power.

The narrow plates and beveled edges even let me turn my hair under! This could be the thing that pushes me full-on into being a high-maintenance-type girl, except that it is super easy to use. The 1st time I used it, I straightened my whole mass of hair in about 10 minutes. It even smooths the hair in the back of my head, which has a tendency to stick straight out.

Thank you, Sam Villa. I think you are a genius.

Nair Precision Face and Upper Lip Kit

Nair has never worked for me in the past and well, it doesn't work for me in the present. The smell is much improved. The applicator tip, lovely. I also love the rebalancing moisturizer for after. Yet it didn't do a thing for me. I'm guessing unless you're blond and peach fuzzy, this won't do the trick.

Cosmedicine

Medi-Matte Oil Control Lotion

This SPF 20 lotion is intended to subdue the shine, but I tested it twice and saw zero glare reduction. I tried a humid day and a not-so-humid day, and different sides of my face (to see if my side-parted hair was a factor) but the results were the same. I also noticed that my pores looked a little worse for the expirement.

And so my quest for non-irritating, non-zit inducing, shine control continues...

Clarisonic--Mia

Topping my wish list:

The new mini Clairsonic MIA!

Little & totally portable/packable.

Would fit beautifully in my toiletry case...

Totally waterproof, so I could even use it in the shower.

Paul Mitchell® Pro Tools™-- Express Ion Dry® v.2

Okay, I am not much of a hair person. I rarely muss, mostly just comb when wet... I'm lazy, what can I say?

I have tried hair dryers--they take too long, my arms get tired, & my head gets too hot.

Going in with this, I did not have high hopes for the Express Ion Dry v. 2.
But then, HOLY WOW!!!
Lightweight, fast, and with a cold shot-- this dryer blew me away (pun intended).

My hair wasn't fried or frizzy, and I had no water dripping down my back.

I still am not a daily dryer (I'd have to wake up even earlier--not a pretty thought), but I recommend it to all the daily dryers!!! I use it when I am going out or doing something important.

I think I might be further converted by the EID v.2;)
It is the only hair dryer I have ever loved.

Alcone Makeup Remover Cloths

These are great because they're individually wrapped. It's annoying when you buy makeup remover cloths in a big package and the remaining cloths dry out once you open the package. The cloth took off almost all of my makeup. It doesn't work on waterproof mascara but most removers don't anyway. Great for travelling and great for the lazy.

Pangea Organics Japanese Matcha Tea Mask

This line of products is outstanding! This mask is a green brown and has the texture of a scrub. It doesn't dry tight and hard, which can be almost painful, especially when you giggle with it on. It has a nice invigorating aromatherapy scent as well. While applied the mask is soothing - not irritating at all. I left it on for about 10 minutes. My skin definitely feels softer. It's a keeper.

Pangea Organics Bar Soap Canadian Pine w/White Sage

Love the aromatherapy smell of this bar-like the other product I've tried from this company. Gritty, milky bar that leaves my skin quite soft. It's great for exfoliating, especially elbows if you ask me. Packaging is out of sight! Soaking the cardboard box right now. Will plant it as it suggests on the outer packaging and within 2 weeks, there will be germination of a spruce tree. They are so environmentally conscious. Stop it!

Redken: Blonde Glam Color Enhancer Conditioner

From BROWNSQUARED:

This product is great. There are various formulas for varying shades of blond and each one makes your hair silky and shiny. This particular formula is for warm blond and highlights and is vanilla flavored.

If you are like me, and like to keep your highlights up to date and avoid dark roots, this product will condition your treated hair and extend time between salon appointments!

Lindsay Phillips Switchflops

Super clever idea! Take your basic flip-flop and add Velcro to the straps so that you can switch out the straps to match your outfit or your mood. There were two choices in the straps I tried-those above and a cool giraffe crackly print. Very easy to switch out. The flip-flop is quite comfy. A nice thick heel too. Would be a great present for just about every lady you know.

Revolution Organics Freedom Glow Beauty Balm in True Rosy Blush

I have literally thrown away my other blush stick. This one is amazing. It's smooth, creamy and dewy. It makes my cheeks feel hydrated too. A little goes a long way so I just dab a bit on my cheeks and I've got a healthy glow about me. I also put a bit on my lips for a hint of lip color
