Smashbox Halo Hydrating Reflecting Powder

In the words of SJP, "Hello, Lover."

This is my new favorite powder. With a tiny twist of the base, the perfect amount rises to the top ready for use. And it comes with a lovely, soft brush for application. I use it to set my under eye concealer but it works for simple overall coverage. A formula of 48 minerals and 11 amino acids that delivers anti-aging benefits with a 33% decrease in fine lines and wrinkles in just 10 minutes! #lovingit

theBalm 'Stainiac' Cheek & Lip Stain

If  anyone is lazy in the AM about putting make up on before work, it would be me. A few swipes of this multi-purpose cheek and lip stain and boosh, I'm looking flushed and ready. "Beauty Queen" is a lovely berry, almost raspberry and the color lasts on  my lips through bottles of water. It gives you that, "You look pulled together but I don't know why," look. Yeah, I'll take it.

Unite U LUXURY Argan Oil

So I've been wanting to try some sort of Argan Oil since the trend started a few years ago. I was reluctant however because my hair is mighty fine and thin and just assumed it wouldn't do anything for me. Well, turns out I was right. It made my fine, straight hair all the more straight and greasy, and yes, a little goes a long way. It's safe to say this is best for those with thick, coarse hair who need some moisture. I will say it smells fantastic-of tropical summers.

YSL Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Vernis à Lèvres Glossy Stain

YSL Paris? Yves Saint Laurent? Saint Laurent Paris? I still vote for YSL.

Rouge Pur Couture Vernis à Lèvres Glossy Stain is fancy/French for kick-ass long wear lip gloss.

I have 10 Rouge Filtre. It is a perfect bright-yet-sophisticated berry red.
And the color & shine LAST.

It is the most I have ever paid for a lip product ($32), but stays so well & feels so nice on that I totally feel justified.

I will buy another when I run out-- in a year or two.

V Beaute

Evidence Eraser (cleanser)
Rub Off (exfoliator)
Undercover Agent (anti-wrinkle serum)
Lite Up (brightening treatment serum)
Buying Time (Everyday Creme)
Eye Never (eye creme)

Available as a travel friendly clutch (the It Kit) or individually.

I read about V Beaute before trying & thought "Oh great, another hedge-fund-manager/socialite using her money and connections to make people buy whatever crap she has other people making for her. Super, I love giving my money to people who don't get out of bed for under a million."
Yes, I'm slightly bitter about not being a millionaire-socialite. I would even make do without the socialite-part.

After trying the V Beaute line, however, I am impressed.
Very impressed.

Fragrance free! Paraben free! Products that work without irritating my skin!

I use the Undercover Agent before sunblock in the morning; then one of the face washes, the Light Up, the Eye Never, and finish with the Buying time at night. Tightens & brightens, makes my skin happy.

Can't argue with results-- this chick (V Beaute creator Julie Macklowe) has done the work & come up with something great. Expensive and lux, but you'll have your face for the rest of your life-- might as well treat it right.

L'Occitane Immortelle Brightening

Immortelle Brightening Essence

So, could L'Occitane have done something wrong?
I love the Immortelle Precious Cream & Eye Balm, was very skeptical that any reformulation could be good.
I tried the Brightening Essence (read: serum) and Moisture Cream, not expecting much.
I have rarely been so happy to be proved wrong!

This combo seriously worked on my parenthesis, those dark spots from my temples around the side & up onto my forehead.

My skin glowed, and not in that oily-sheen way.

Again, well done L'Occitane.

I <3 again="again" amp="amp" brilliance.="brilliance." div="div" doubt="doubt" efficiency="efficiency" in="in" never="never" will="will" you="you" your="your">

P.S. The milky glass containers? Love almost as much as the cobalt glass.

Skinnygirl Smoothing & Firming Body Lotion

While I'm still having issues digesting this logo (pun intended), the lotion is good.

Smells like dried cranberries, absorbs quickly but the moisturizing effects last.

Gives me a nice, albeit brief, glow.

For $9.99, a good deal., and not animal tested.
Well done, Bethenny Frankel

Skinnygirl Face & Body: Vitamin C Face Scrub

Although I cringed at the logo, I tried this cranberry-smelling face scrub.

As a face scrub, I did not like it. Left some serious residue (intense moisturizers), the scrubby-bits were too rough...

As a body scrub, however, this ROCKS.

Smells good without being perfume-y, moisturizes, exfoliates.
Made my legs, arms, and feet feel smooth and pampered.

I will buy more for this winter to keep my skin happy.

Miss Oops Rescue Sponge: Deodorant Removing Sponge

You know how almost all deodorants promise not to leave white marks on your clothes but most of them do anyway?
I know I have tried to remove the stains with tape, lint brushes, lint rollers, dry towels, wet towels...
I usually just have to change my clothes.
No more!!!
Thank you, Miss Oops, for making something that actually makes the stains go away!
I've got one in my purse, & I plan on giving as stocking stuffers this year. Yes, they are that good.

Atopalm Intensive Moisturizing Cream

Loving this cream. A hint of lemon and a super creamy texture, I put this on right out of the shower. I glob it on my dry dry cheeks and I'm soft and plump all day. Best part? It doesn't agrivate my rosacea or ezcema. It works great with the foaming cleanser. Wahoo!

Atopalm Daytime Undermakeup Moisture Cream

After trying this on my whole face, my skin was left tight and needing more moisture and I don't wear foundation so.... I'm probably not the best candidate for this cream. But, I've been using this cream on my forehead since I have bangs because no one wants to see them mad greasy and it's working out quite well.

Atopalm Moisturizing Facial Cleansing Foam

This is exactly as it's described-lush. Great for dry and sensitive skin, this won't leave yours tight and yearning for moisturizer like a lot of cleansers do to my sensitive skin. One pump of this foamy goodness and you're all set. Liiiike!
