Mineral Fusion Eye Pencil

Tried this eye pencil in azure-a pretty blue- and I love it. It glides on like butter, almost like a liquid without the mess. It's pretty nice. It's made with chamomile, meadowfoam and vitamin E to soothe that very delicate eyelid skin. How clever. Thumps up!

Brushes: Remove Hair, Clean and Sanitize Weekly

Sam Villa wants you to clean your hair brush!
Here's his instructions for keeping your brush clean & in top shape:

-Use a brush cleaner designed with hard, wide-spaced, angled teeth on one end and longer bristles or wire on the other end. Try the Sam Villa Brush Cleaning Tool available on www.samvilla.com, or use the end of a tail comb and a toothbrush.

1.    Use the wide toothed end of the cleaning tool to rake through each row of bristles and pull up and out to remove tangled knots and hair at the base of the brush.

2.    Use the denser longer bristled end of the cleaning tool and mild soap and water to help cleanse away styling aid residue.

3.    Dry completely.

I will have to invest in a Sam Villa Cleaning Tool-- I hate having hairy brushes!

Fend Off Spring Fevers with Burt's Bees

There are bugs going around-- both of the insect &viral varieties!
While they may not help with the insects, Burt's Bees has a preventive & a curative worth using!

1st, prevent the spread of nasty germs with Aloe & Witch Hazel Hand Sanitizer.
This pleasant hand sanitizing spray is both effictive & gentle. Hands get clean, but not all dried out. Light, fresh smell.

If the sick comes anyway, say you get a cold after your 10-month-old nephew fish hooks you, and your throat hurts and your head is all stuffy... That's the time to reach for the Natural Throat Drops. I like the Honey & Lemon. My dad liked them so much, he took the whole bag.
Not overwhelmingly sweet (thanks, lemon), and they don't make you feel like you are eating vaporub. If I were a singer-- a real, good singer outside of the car/shower-- I would have these on hand before and after performances.

Happy International Women’s Day

March 8th marks International Women’s Day and we invite you to join L’Occitane in celebrating this special day with a limited-edition Women’s Day Soap.

The women of Burkina Faso, Africa celebrate this holiday each year by wearing festive clothing, decorated with a different motif every year. For just $8, you too can commemorate this day with L’Occitane’s fund-raising, fair trade soap. The Women’s Day Soaps are produced in Burkina Faso as part of a development partnership with a local factory. The factory has been run entirely by women since 2010 and supports their economic emancipation.

About the soap:
-The L’Occitane Foundation and NGO will use 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the soap to help build literacy centers for women in Burkina Faso.
-Made by the women in Burkina Faso
-Formulated with shea butter (52%) from a fair trade producer
-Engraved with “Women’s Day” in six languages
-Enclosed in a box decorated with a motif inspired by Burkina Faso’s 2010 Women’s Day clothing

The limited-edition Women’s Day Soap is available at usa.loccitane.com and in over 160 boutiques throughout the U.S.

Cures To Go - Sensitive

Perfect for irritated, sensitive and rosacea-ridden skin, this trio (serum not included) will work wonders. I've been using the cleansing milk and protective day creme for weeks now and I like them a lot. The milk is soothing with a barely-there soft scent and the the creme is thick-a little goes a long way. I plan on using the mask soon. I'll update this post after but so far I really like these products.

Avon ADVANCE TECHNIQUES Damage Repair 3D Rescue Leave-In Treatment

This leave-in conditioner from Avon make a lot of promises.
It does detangle like no body's business, but it seems to be made for fine haired folk who don't want to compromise volume.
On my super thick hair with a tendency to frizz, it is just okay.
Better if I use in combination with a standard conditioner.
Passing along to a follicularly challenged pal, will update post with results.

Soap & Glory: Scrub of Your Life

Soap & Glory is hard to miss, packaged in hot pink and covered in clever repartee.
I wondered if The Scrub of Your Life would live up to its container.
    Happily, it does!
Lightly scented (fresh & tropic), gentle but effective.
Great at de-scaling without causing massive skin loss.
I use it once a week to keep myself scrubbed.
    Fabulous!

    Boscia B.B. Cream

Vogue, Allure, Elle... They are all about the B.B. Creams.
These Beauty Balms are basically a perfecting magic foundation.
Boscia's is chock-full of good stuff to make your skin look & act better.
Goes on smoothly, blends well, stays in place.
    Love the SPF ++.
I do wish that Boscia made different shades, though--  from their website: This B.B. Cream comes in a self-adjusting, universal shade that warms to complement most skin tones for sheer, flawless coverage.
It seems as though I fall outside of the most, but maybe that's just my ghastly pallor.

    GoodSkin Labs Z-Pore

I think the Z in Z-pore may stand for Zaps, because that's what it seems to do!

This instant pore refiner does what it says, makes your pores look invisible.
Really does leave a velvety finish.

    Well done, GoodSkin Labs!
